he Mas Planella cottage is a beautifully restored cottage located on the estate of the same name. It is in a small neighborhood in the middle of the Bianya valley located 15 minutes from the center of Olot. In front of the house there is the farm of the estate with lambs, sheep and chickens and just in front of the entrance of the cottage we will find an outdoor picnic area and barbecue. On the first floor of the house there is a garage with capacity for 2 vehicles, a large kitchen-dining room with an outside exit and a complete bathroom. On the second floor there is a large living room with flat screen TV, sofa bed and direct access to the large outdoor terrace. On the same floor there are two bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin with two single beds). There is also another full bathroom. Mas Palleu has more than two centuries of history and it's located in Sant Miquel de Sacot, in the municipality of Santa Pau. Situated in the middle of Jordà's beech wood forest, the most protected zone of Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park, you can enjoy peace and tranquillity, be in contact with farm animals and enjoy nice sights that the surroundings offer. From 1990 onwards major renovations have occurred, resulting in a lot of improvements having been made. Rural life can be glimpsed from each corner of the cottage. Different farm animals live on the property: hens in the hen run, next to the vacation cottage, ducks running on the hill, chickens, rabbits,... and, the cat and Mona, a friendly dog. The house, on top of the hill and surrounded by the beech wood forest is a fantastic place if you want to switch off and walk, go by bike,... and breathe fresh air, far from big cities' pollution. The two-bedroom flat, renovated in 2022, is built entirely of stone (warm in winter and cool in summer). With separate access and entrance and its own private terrace under a jasmine arbour, it overlooks your garden and private pool area, right next to the vegetable garden. A cosy nest for a family of four. A laundry room (with washing machine) on the ground floor allows you to store your luggage so as not to clutter up your apartment. You have access to a summer kitchen area with barbecue, a terrace with garden table and parasol. My grandfather fell in love with the area and, when we were children, it was always a treat to come here in the summer, firstly because the village (which has just celebrated its 1000th anniversary) is built on a promontory overlooking the mountains with a unique view of the Canigou, and secondly because the 13-hectare property (with holm oaks, chestnut trees, birches and lime trees) can be reached via a bucolic, almost secret forest path. And then there's the spring... it's a little like something out of a Pagnol novel. My uncle's old bicycle sits enthroned under a forest of bamboo. 14th-century farmhouse completely renovated located within the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, 300 meters above the rest of Olot, and with magnificent views over the Pyrenees. 5 minutes from the City of Olot, the Fageda d’en Jordà, the Croscat Volcano and the Santa Margarita Volcano. It has a living room with fireplace, a large distributor, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two doubles and one with two single beds and a double sofa bed, all with separate bathrooms. They are 140 square meters of stay and more than a thousand meters of garden. In the upper part and independent of the rest of the house we live the owners. Batet de la Serra is one of the most beautiful places in the Natural Park because it combines forests, pastures and some isolated farmhouses with huts and dry-walled walls of volcanic rock. In this place of multiple legends is where the first volcanoes originated, now only witnessed by different lava flows, already cooled and superimposed one on top of the other, which make up a soft relief. Batet de la Serra is a town and former municipality of La Garrotxa that in 1971 was annexed to the municipality of Olot. It is located in the so-called high plateau of Batet and the population is scattered. As a center, we find the parish church of Santa María, which had once been a school and the parish house....

Route 1, the most emblematic of the area, linking the Fageda de'n Jordà with the Volcà Croscat passes through the farm, just 250 meters from the house.
