Located less than 200 meters from one of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz, Casa Almadraba offers that hard-to-find combination on the Cadiz coast of beach access, a comfortable house, and a mature garden. As the name suggests, you are right on the beach. From the sitting room and main bedroom you see your lawn, the sand, and the sea. And at the end of the garden, you walk down some simple steps cut into the dunes and you are on the beach. This is first and foremost a beachfront property, and you will get your first glimpse of the sea on both sides of the house as soon as you drive in or walk in. Arena is one of a dozen one-storey houses built around 20 years ago at the northern end of Roche’s beachfront. The garden is separated from the neighbours on both sides by hedges, and at the end of the garden there is a protected juniper tree that provides a lovely semi-shaded spot for contemplating the 8km of beach, which is pretty much empty for large periods of the year. Built in 2015 for a large family and their friends, it is a house that was clearly planned with one thing in mind, enjoyment! From the panoramic roof-top terrace to the domed outdoor living area and to the kitchen that would pamper even the most capricious of chefs, Dos Horizontes is all about pleasure. Less than 100 metres from the stunning Roche beach, Dos Horizontes is built over 4 floors in a large garden with sea views from 4 of its 7 bedrooms. The spaces are large, the finishings are luxury, and the design….well, design is always a matter of taste, but we think it is beautiful! You enter through a courtyard, a modern take on the traditional Moorish patio, this one with four tall palms and a tiny fountain in the middle. Luz de Mar is for those people looking for something more than just a beach house. A major refurbishment in 2019 created the ideal property for one or two families to hide away in their own little paradise, with a stunning beach just a stone’s throw away. It is a generous property (sleeping for 10 although the living space is for more) where the owners and architect have thought of every detail, from the lower ground floor guest flat with its private courtyard to a writer’s dream office above the main suite, a first floor plunge pool with glass bottom, and even a crow’s nest roof terrace with panoramic views and sunken cold box just in case you forget something downstairs! All of this set in a beautifully designed and extremely well kept garden. There are five floors in all! But don’t let this put you off because you will spend most of the time on the ground and first floors. The ground floor begins with a spacious hall with the fine original staircase winding up to the first floor. Glass panels on either side of the hall reveal the full breadth of the house, the sitting room to the left and the kitchen and indoor dining area to the right.
