The Coach House that dates back to 1862, which was originally a part of the rectory, retains some of its historical features. The entry point for coaches and horses can still be observed through a sizeable stone lintel at the entrance. Restoration work was carried out in 2008 and the building has since been transformed into a self-contained, two-bedroom cottage that offers self-catering facilities, a hot tub, and an attractive pergola. The renovation has been carried out with great care and attention to retain the original character of the building. In the spacious living and dining area, there are two leather couches and Fairtrade acacia furniture. Entertainment options include a TV with Freesat channels, DVD and video players, a CD player, and a PlayStation 1. Additionally, guests will find a variety of games, books, videos, CDs, and DVDs to choose from, as well as plenty of tourism information. As mobile phone reception is unreliable in this rural location, there is a dedicated landline phone for guests to use and WiFi available throughout the property. The kitchen is equipped with a range of appliances including a large fridge-freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. In addition, it is well-supplied with various kitchenware such as plates, utensils, pots and pans, and serving dishes. The dining area is situated in the cent...

My cottage is old, quirky, quite unique and very original. If you like cottages with character you will love this. If you like modern, characterless boxes please don't even consider it. It is situated in a very quiet area but only a ten minute walk from the town centre and Ffestiniog Railway in one direction and the Llechwedd Slate Mine and Zip World Complex in the other. You can also walk straight into the mountains from the doorstep. The cottage dates back to at least 1834 and is one of the few cottages to escape the regeneration scheme in Blaenau still retaining its lovely old sash windows and original Welsh slate roof. Internally it retains a lot of the original features including a rare Welsh oven - unfortunately not in use. It is also interesting as it's one of the few cottages in Blaenau actually built of slate - which is what the town is famous for. The cottage is a little bit of Blaenau Ffestiniogs history and is mentioned twice on the Cadw (Welsh Governments Historic Environment Service) website. It has now been Grade II Listed due to its historical importance. It consists of a lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom , double and single bedroom. The lounge/diner has two double settees, dining table for four and a FreeSat 32" Panasonic Viera TV + Amazon Firestick with DVD player. There is a small library of DVD's, books and games available. The kitchen is well equipped with an...

Y Felin, 17th Century Holiday cottage with sea views in Dyffryn Ardudwy Snowdonia, is half way between Harlech and Barmouth on the Cambrian Coast road.
