Description: |
Casita Bonita is a stunning villa set in an exclusive development at the top of the village in tranquil surroundings at the edge of the Sierra Almijara Natural Park, yet within walking distance of Competa’s restaurants and bars.
The house has breathtaking views of the Sierra Almijara and the Mediterranean Sea. On a clear day there are uninterrupted views to the Atlas mountains in North Africa.
The villa has a pretty private garden for alfresco meals and sunbathing and shares the stunning pool with just 9 other houses. The house is beautifully furnished with marble floors throughout and boasts a bright spacious sitting room and dining area for six, a well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. Both bathrooms are equipped with power showers. The house is light and airy in summer whilst in the winter a wood burning stove, heating and warm, lofty duvets make it a romantic, cosy nest. Heating & a supply of logs are included in the price.
Competa is a 1 hour drive from Malaga airport and yet a world away from the busy resorts of the western Costa del Sol. A fantastic holiday base anytime of the year for relaxing in the sun, making sandcastles on the beach, walking or horseriding in the mountains, playing tennis or mountain biking, sampling the restaurants and ambience of rural Andalucia or taking in a spot of culture in Granada or Seville.
The popular coastal resorts of Nerja and Torre del Mar are a half hour drive away. Dont miss the beautiful little bay of Maro with its beachside restaurant just a few minutes outside Nerja. ACTIVITIES There is interesting walking in the area for all abilities and in the springtime the area is covered with wildflowers. There are many marked trails across the Sierra Almijara Natural Park which is on the doorstep of Casita Bonita. We provide walking books and a detailed walking guide with walks to and from the villa ranging from 1-9 hours in length, offering plenty of choice for all abilities.
For horseriders you too can explore the Sierra Almijara. Just 5 minutes drive away is a ranch that offers riding lessons for adults and children as well as half day and one day treks into the Sierra on beautiful Andalucian horses.
For keen golfers there are two 18 hole golf courses within easy driving distance. Skiing in the Sierra Nevada is 2 hours away.
A Tennis court is available to rent at the Hotel Balcon, a 5 minute walk from the villa.
Competa is a thriving, cosmopolitan village that offers a window on real Spain. The people are friendly and the village has a lot to offer from the lively Saturday market, tasting the local wine at the bodega, sampling the food in the many bars and restaurants or browsing the varied craft shops. If you fancy improving your Spanish there is even a Spanish language school offering intensive courses.
It is just a 5 minute walk from Casita Bonita to the nearest restaurant (the highly recommended Cortijo Paco) and a variety of local shops. A further 3 minutes walk takes you into the main plaza, which means that whilst you can enjoy peace and tranquility at the villa you can enjoy village life without the need to drive.

There are 4 sunbeds, 6 garden chairs and a table in the garden and a further table and 4 chairs on the upper terrace. Private parking. 2 Stair gates, a travel cot & linen, highchair, baby monitor, sterilser & liquidiser are provided.
Views: Mountain and sea views down to Algorrobo and Torrox.
Accomodation:Of the three bedrooms one has a king size bed, whilst the other two have twin beds. There is a full bathroom and a shower room.
Linen & cleaning: Linen is supplied and changed weekly. The house is cleaned weekly. Beach towels also provided.
Peace & security: The house is well maintained by a local company who are on hand to assist in case of any difficulties you may experience during your stay.
Availability: Available all year. Saturday changeover. No pets. No smoking house. A 25% deposit is required upon booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £100 is required & will be refunded after the return of keys and inspection of the property. Gas & electricity are included. Access to the property on the day of arrival is after 15.00hrs. On the day of departure the property must be vacated by 10.00hrs. |
