It needed to be close enough to fantastic restaurants & local amenities (like mains electricity, internet, supermarket, pharmacy, kids playpark etc), rural enough for open views & tranquility, & as close as possible to the surf. Plus it needed thoughtful safety & entertainment for young children to ensure parents can relax. We’d been renting villas for years in the Canaries & had not found the perfect house so in 2012 built our own. electrically heated pool to ensure warmth even in the winter.
