We recommend that you take a walk through Alcalalí, a municipality of La Marina in the valley of Pop. It is a town founded by the Arabs around 1020, reconquered by King Jaime I who was the hero of the Valencian country in the Christian reconquest. Nowadays, it is an interesting village to visit; while enjoying the pleasant breeze coming from the surrounding mountains as we walk, we can visit the 18th century parish church, the 15th century mediaeval tower, which houses the museum of La Pansa and a beautiful, very modern viewpoint at the top of the tower; and also an ethnological museum which is in an old house from the last century.

What makes it even more historic, this beautiful place has a Latin cross floor plan with two sections of side chapels between buttresses. The square bell tower with three sections houses a clock and is located on one side of the church.
