Casa Viñas de Vera was lovingly rebuilt from a ruin in 2008, using as much of the original house as possible. including the roof beams and the old front door. Nestling in its own olive and citrus terraces, this beautiful property exudes peace and tranquility, however, being only 1km from the village of Restábal, there are good amenities within easy reach. The large, private pool is perfect for cooling off during the steamy Andalucían summers and the roof terrace affords fabulous views of the Valley and the Sierra Nevada mountains beyond. Each season the land offers something different. In springtime you can enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice from the trees in the orchard, almonds are available throughout the autumn months and there is an abundance of lemons all year round. With its thick walls, open fireplace and underfloor heating, the property is cosy and welcoming in winter, too. Three available bedrooms and two bathrooms provide plenty of space for one or two families or a group of friends. We purchased the ruin and the land in 2005 and spent a number of years planning the rebuild. It was ready to move into in 2009 and we have enjoyed living in, and renting out the property, ever since.
