The sizeable garden slopes gently down to a large 8km beach, fairly empty for most of the year. The garden itself is of a "controlled wilderness" type; juniper bushes (a protected species) break the rhythm of the large lawn, and several palm trees will whisper to us from on high with their slender trunks swaying gracefully in the wind. Atlantic Spain? Atlantic Caribbean? It could be either, really. Waves break rhythmically on the sand below, the breeze almost always warm or hot, and what could certainly be said to be heaven. As we walk through the front door, we are already confronted with the sea view and the spacious open plan living room. It is a single storey building, like all beachfront properties in this area, so the ceilings are high, creating a pleasant airy ambience throughout. Carefully selected antiques combine with wicker sofas and sisal rugs to provide a simple but classic décor. Large glass doors open onto a covered terrace that runs the width of the building, the open-air dining area at one end and comfortable seating at the other. Style and comfort less than 200m from the beach A major renovation in early 2024 has produced a fabulous open plan space for dining, cooking and comfortable living, including a large covered terrace overlooking the (fenced) swimming pool. With one of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz less than 200m away, this is a perfect holiday home. Although Bahari is built on two floors, on the first floor you will find only the fourth bedroom (with bunk beds) and a roof terrace from where you can see the sea at the end of the street. Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor, which is divided between the bedroom wing on one side (two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom and the master suite with en-suite bathroom and dressing room) and the newly refurbished open-plan living room on the other side. The latter, although open-plan and airy, clearly demarcates dining, kitchen and living areas, the latter carefully divided into two parts, one of which contains the television. The house is located between Conil and the Fuente del Gallo district, close to the beach, so you won't really need a car. It was completed in the summer of 2021 and is very modernly and tastefully furnished. The ground floor features a large living room that is open to the dining area and kitchen. Large windows and terrace doors allow the terrace to merge with the living room in the summer. The kitchen is fully equipped, and while cooking on the island, you can look out at the elongated pool. Situated less than 200 metres from one of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz, Casa Almadraba offers that combination of beach, comfortable home and mature garden that is so hard to find on the Cádiz coast. It is an elegant Atlantic beach house, just a short walk (1km) or bike ride from one of the most spectacular stretches of sandy beach on the Costa de la Luz.
