Travelling to Islantilla could not be easier, Faro Airport is the local airport and Islantilla is easily accessible within one hour via the newly constructed highway. In addition, there are easily accessible airports at Seville 1.5hrs and Jerez.

It has more than 3,000 annual hours of sun, together with a mean temperature of 22 degrees and its incomparable natural resources, allows you to indulge in a variety of activities ranging from simple relaxation to more active leisure pursuits.
From the ocean walk of Islantilla, walking along landscaped paths and dunes you get to a fantastic beach. The beach is classified annually as a Blue Flag beach. Between huge palm trees and a balustrade you approach the Atlantic Ocean.
Islantilla has 2 modern shopping malls, the first is set by the beach overlooking miles of walkways surrounded by palm trees. You can enjoy superb cuisine with inexpensive restaurants that overlook the sea. Also there are plenty of bars, overlooking the sea, shops, a supermarket and useful tourist information. Walk or cycle along the beach paths. The second shopping mall is within the golf resort area. These ´commercial centres´ as they are known in Spain take care of all your day to day needs.
The Islantilla Golf Club is probably the most beautiful in the whole of Andalucia region. The spectacular 27 Holes layout of Islantilla, are designed in the most pure Parkland Style within an enormous pine wood and with incredible sea views. These, together with its Pencross greens and Bermuda fairway, make it an interesting, high quality golf course. The golf course opened in 1992 and boasts a lovely colonial style clubhouse - and payable green fees.
Islantilla :- As Islantilla is a recently created tourist complex, it draws on its founders Lepe and Isla Cristina and near-by Ayamonte for its traditions, culture, gastronomy, folklore and the typical charm of the people of the South. The best way to familiarise yourself with the lifestyle of these towns is to wander around Isla Cristina and Ayamonte contemplating the arrival of the boats full of fish and shellfish, observing the local markets, or noting the contrasts of the Lepe landscape which mingle the blue of the sea with the vast, coloured fields of strawberries and oranges. The richness and variety of the local products make the food one of the most attractive features of the area. Typical dishes include ray in red pepper, tuna with onion and cuttlefish with broad beans. These are complimented with a wide range of fried fish, prawns and clams.
The older town of La Antilla (about a 5 minute drive) also provides shops, restaurants, supermarkets and café´s on a beach side location.
La Antilla has a tranquill and very long beach (22km). Whatever time of the year you come, you can enjoy the various watersports, cycling, horse riding and beautiful surroundings.
Other activities in area
Water Parks, Karting, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, horse riding, cycling, tennis, sightseeing, Rio Tinto and Zoo Marine in Portugal are just some of the attractions within a driving distance of Islantilla. You can also visit Donana National Park and the beautiful city of Seville only one hour away by car.
