Estepona is today one of the most important touristic cities in the Costa del Sol.
Its essential economic sources were for years, the fishing, agriculture and cattle, and even today, remain some of those economic factors, though tourism has become the main one, due to its wonderful climate, well kept sandy beaches, such as La Rada and Cristo Beach, and an extraordinary touristic offer, which comprise from golf courses and pleasure crafts harbour to its fantastic restaurants, as well as urbanizations, houses and villas complexes, making Estepona the chosen city of thousands of tourists every year, and the elected place of fixed residence for many of them.
Ten minutes from Estepona and the same from San Roque, you can find La Duquesa Yacht Harbour, which has restaurants, bars and boutiques, the fantastic golf course La Duquesa, just at the other side of the road, and the chance to visit the inland typical towns of Casares, Jubrique, Genaguacil and Manilva, with its famous Roman bath of "La Hedionda", the Gibraltar Countryside and Maroc, all of them at less than 50 km from the harbour, as it is located practically in the centre of the Costa del Sol.
