The great walls are well preserved, offering visitors a trip back to the second century and a museum inside the church of Saint Jaume displaying many religious artefacts. The well- preserved Roman theatre is the largest outdoor theatre on the island and in excellent condition.

El Mercado de Alcudia is located in the historic district of Alcudia and is the largest market on the island. You'll find a great variety of goods including fresh fruit and vegetables. Local crafts, clothing and accessories, jewellery and typical foods such as almonds, olives, ensaimada pastries, and herbal drinks. Music, artists and more create an atmosphere typical of the Spanish mercado. In the Cala d'Or region, Spanish cuisine can be found at S'Ona with its authentic paella and delicious libations. Port Petit features creative international fare while Yaya presents artistic fusion cuisine.

Looking for adventure while you're on holiday? Cala Santanyi offers snorkelling and diving in its crystal-clear waters. The best dives are along the rocky wall with dramatic landscapes under the sea where marine life thrives. Mantareys, coral, tropical fish, and more await your curious eyes. An underwater camera to record life below the sea is strongly recommended. Drive to the Es Verger restaurant, then onward via the cobbled path to Alaro Castell. It's a bit of a hike but well worth the breathtaking views. Mallorca is considered by many to be the mecca for cliff jumping. One excellent location for the well-seasoned jumper is Cala Varques located 30 minutes north of Cala Egos. The gorgeous turquoise waters are very alluring, the perfect photo op material, and well worth the thrill. Other locations offer lower cliffs but are safer for beginners.

There's nothing like the night market to get you into the festive mood. Local music, delicious snacks, handmade crafts, souvenirs, and clothing grace the stalls at Plaza Toni Costa in Cala d'Or every Sunday. Thursdays are at Cala Egos and both are from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
