La Rueda, our cortijo and the holiday home are located 5 km outside Orgiva in the small hamlet Los Agustines, on the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Spanish village life is still intact here and our neighbors are mainly vegetable farmers who still cultivate and harvest their land below us by hand. Dangle in your hammock and watch the farmers doing it. Experience how one of our neighbors often knocks on the door to share something freshly harvested with us. In the afternoon you will meet Paco or Jose with their mules or you will hear the bells of the goats being herded down into the fields. This place is as idyllic as it sounds! Accommodation includes 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, which is accessible from the rear porch, a modern bathroom comprising of a walk-in shower, hand basin and low level w/c. A Travel cot can be made available on request. The main living area is open plan comprising of the lounge with log burner and fitted kitchen. To the rear of the house there is a large porch with its own bar, dining area, door to 2nd bedroom and additional seating. The large private garden surrounds the house, with a swimming pool to the side and a patio for barbeques. Among all the facilities provided, you will have at your disposal air-con and electric radiators in the bedroom and in the bathroom. The house can accommodate a couple with a child, as the extra bed is for a child up to 10 years old. In the outside area, you will be delighted by the breathtaking views of the mountains, while taking a dip into the private swimming pool or enjoying some delicious wine on the little terrace, surrounded by every kind of scented trees and flowers. The paved access will let you get to the house without any problem, while the road's last 400 meters are perfect for parking your car.
