Torroella is a nice village, and we liked staying there. While places like Cadaques and L'escala have more picturesque medieval centres, they are also overrun by tourists. There's not much to do in Torroella itself though, without getting driving or biking.

Good base to explore the area. Good access to the roads to explore the area.

Torroella de Fluvia review

Torroella de Fluvia review

Very small and quiet, with one small grocery store. Not at all touristy. Short drive to San Pere Pescador which has beaches, restaurants, stores, campsites etc.

Lovely sandy beaches and clear water. Was very windy when we were there but this may have been unusual.
