Villamartin is a prestigious golf course development, which lies to the south of Alicante on the Costa Blanca (White Coast), within one hour’s drive of the airport.
The Villamartin development began in 1972 and has evolved into an attractive Mediterranean village of 1500 apartments, townhouses and villas.
At the heart of Villamartin is a central square, which boasts a bank, supermarket, a variety of shops, cafes bars and restaurants and two super golf courses.
With over 300 days of sunshine every year, nearby sandy beaches, and a relaxed international lifestyle, Villamartin is a very popular holiday destination.

The Costa Blanca The Costa Blanca is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. Much of the coastline is still wild and rugged, with many sandy beaches offering peace and tranquility. There are also plenty of busy and exciting areas, sympathetically developed, for those looking for a bit more action.
Inland, hillsides covered with terraced vineyards and lush-green citrus orchards are dotted with pretty villages of narrow streets leading to flower-filled squares.
Alicante At the heart of the Costa Blanca is the bustling historic city of Alicante with its magnificent palm-fringed waterfront promenade, the Esplanada de Espana, and the fabulous yacht marina where first-class shops and restaurants can be found, make this an exciting place to be.
Within the old city many superb restaurants await, along with department stores and many small and interesting retailers.
Orihuela Also close to Villamartin is the old administrative town of Orihuela, famous for its market gardens and splendid baroque cathedral.
Cuisine Try any of the delicious varieties of rice dishes, combined with shellfish, fish or meat that are renowned in the region of Alicante.
To complete your meal, the region offers some excellent local wine denominations, and for dessert, don’t forget the famous ice creams, Turrón and dates.
Climate Villamartin enjoys a privileged location and an excellent mild climate, with an average year round temperature of 18-20° C.
Villamartin is great place to stay, short car journey to great beaches. Im not a golfer but there are three golf courses VERY close by for those who are. Nice square with walking distance, filled with restaurants and bars with lots to do for the children (pool, air hockey, trampolines etc) If shopping is your bag then you have the new La Zenia boulevard shopping mall a short way away by car, very impressive open air mall!
Villamartin is a lovely area. Lively at the plaza but peaceful in the residential areas. Many bars and restaurants at the Plaza to cater for every taste. The staff at these places were also very welcoming and friendly.
