A small and quiet town with a few beach bars, snack bars, restaurants and a small supermarket. Ideal for a relaxing and 'chill out' environment.

The Mar Menor is a great place for a relaxing swim and very suitable for (small) children. The landscape isn't very special in the nearby environment, but there are nice views to the inner panorma's of Murcia. The water is very clear and perfect to swim.

Los Nietos is a small village at the coast of the Mar Menor, with a calm sea. The beach is not crowded.

I loved it, it is small and unhurried. You could drive up to the shop in a car and park it just in front. It is the way it was in 1950s

Los Nietos review

Los Nietos is not for everyone. It is very much a traditional Spanish town, with few modern amenities. Whether that is good or bad is up to individuals, but I found it pleasing. English as a secondary language, where it existed, but that suited me fine. I didn't go there to be a Brit. A couple of shops and bars did the job; and the Mar Menor is a delightful sea to have a "walkabout", literally. Given the opportunity, we would go back.
